Dates:

October 2021 –January 2024

Project Value:

$300M

Contract Value:

$2M

Scope:

T2 Scaffolding was engaged by Total Access to supply, install and dismantle a large quantity of scaffolding services on this significant construction of a new sports and recreation facility including a swimming pool for Auckland University. This building was seven floors with two floors underground.

We provided a wide range of services which included supply, installation and dismantling of a large quantity of scaffolding including external full height scaffolds, Atrium bird cage scaffolds, riser shaft scaffolds, hanging scaffolds, mobile scaffolds, cantilever lift shaft scaffolds and stairwell scaffolds plus many others.

We worked to very tight deadlines for each floor of this project, which required a rotating team often working six days per week including late nights.

The wider project team included between 300-400 contractors working together onside including builders, concrete slab specialists, roofers, window panel installers, painters, plumbers and electricians. Tui worked closely with the Hawkins Site Manager to ensure access for each trade as required. Due to the large volume of scaffolding and work to be completed in a short timeline, we worked collaboratively with three other scaffolding contractors engaged by Total Access for a six-month period to ensure the deadlines were achieved.

Outcomes:

The T2 team worked hard to ensure all deadlines were met over their two-year engagement and delivered this project to budget. Once we had completed our work, there was still another three months for final completion of project.
